Misako Rocks!
Artist
Misako Rocks! developed a love for comics and manga at an early age and drew her first comic at the age of 13. She moved to New York in 2001 and worked as a a puppeteer, face painter, animal balloon maker, and art teacher while still developing her own work.
Her first break came when the Onion decided to use her illustrations for their now famous "Savage Love" column, which runs every week. Shortly thereafter, Misako scored a two-book deal with Hyperion, a three-book deal with Henry Holt and a writing gig for Archie comics.
She has been featured in many magazines and newspapers, including Elle Girl and the New York Times. The BBC also featured her in a documentary about comic book creators. On top of that, she has recently received the Venice Beach, LA Playwright award!
Misako currently lives in Brooklyn, New York and spends her free time riding her vintage bike, making hip hop, kissing babies, shaking hands, slam dunking and eating lots of Onigiri !!!
Greg Dean
Artist
Greg Dean has a very hard time focusing. In the past, he's worked
as a small plane refueler, a personal assistant, a graphic designer, a
web designer, a culinary student, a cook, and of course, a cartoonist.
His hobbies range from making chainmaille to writing about himself in
the third person. Think of him as a renaissance man, sans renaissance.
So, a….man.
Greg has been writing and illustrating his online comic, "Real Life"
since late 1999, making it the longest he's ever paid attention to just
one thing. For those who may not have heard of it, (SHAME on you!) Real
Life is a semi-autobiographical comic about the author and his friends.
What's meant by semi-autobiographical? Well, it deals with such subjects
as going to work or school, road trips to Michigan, and building a giant
orbital space station of death. Which is absurd, because Greg's never
even BEEN to Michigan.
Greg graduated from the California Culinary Academy, so in
addition to drawifying things, he's now certified to cookify things as
well. A shame they didn't have an English course at the academy.
Visit his website and have read.

Renton in Eureka Seven, Claus in Last Exile, Clair in Heat Guy J, Sakaki in Witch Hunter Robin,
Mike in Please Twins, Albert in The Count of Monte Cristo, Kiba in Wolf's Rain, and Itsuki in The Melancholy of Haurhi Suzumiy a.

J. Grant & Mel Hynes
Comic writers
Mel Hynes and J. Grant are a conglomerate beast, spawned in California's strange climes and summoned to the heart of Dallas,
where they now reside in a dank cave. Between the two of them, they create the webcomic Two Lumps, as well as various other
comics and works of literature. Mel enjoys martial arts, cats, and committing random acts of senseless kindness. J. is fond
of drawing things, shooting things, and preaching to any who will listen of the coming Puppy-geddon. Between the two of them,
no problem is too complicated, no mystery too convoluted, no video game too difficult, and no beer is safe. Their works have
primarily appeared online, in magazines, and in the form of "books" that are "printed" by various "publishing houses." They
are delighted to make their fourth Animefest appearance in as many years, and look forward to introducing people to the concept
of flammable undergarments.
Read their comic Two Lumps for more insight into J & Mel.
Randy Millholland
Comic writer
RKMilholland is probably napping right now. Sometimes, at night, he dons little shoes with curled toes and a little hat and secretly aids overworked
cobblers. Then he uses their stores to launder money. He also grew up in a little patch of suburban sprawl between Dallas and Ft. Worth, Texas. Under
a full moon he sometimes transforms into a meerkat. .
