Lutavia (they/them) is a cosplay educator and maker from Texas fueled by a passion for helping cosplayers craft their dream costumes. Over nearly a decade, they’ve created hundreds of educational resources such as tutorials, build logs, panels, workshops, and more, including teaching at cons across the country as a guest and panelist. Their focus is on mixed media builds, from molding/casting and 3D printing to needlework and fiber arts, with a particular love for weathering and dyework.
They’ve teamed up with brands like Alumilite, Dharma Trading Co., and Cosplay Supplies to help cosplayers learn to make their first or hundreth costume. They’re also the co-founder of the Cosplay Tutorial Challenge, which just wrapped up its third year of promoting the creation and conservation of cosplay tutorials.
